Produced with part of the grapes from Sarmassa area. In the last vintages a part of the grapes was bought in Madonna di Como (an area on the hills of Alba) and an other part in Sinio

Exposure: Sarmassa West - Madonna di Como South - Sinio South West
Total Surface: in total around 2 hectare
Soil: Calcareous and clayey
Growing system: espalier with Guyot pruning
Density: 5,000 plants per hectare
Yield: 7,0/8,0 tons per hectare
Average age of the vines: Sarmassa 10 years - Madonna di Como 50 years - Sinio 15 years
Harvest: manual in the second middle of September, first half of October
First Vintage produced: 1970
Average production per year: 13,000 bottles
Vinification and ageing: Maceration with skins for 20/25 days depending on the vintage. Ageing in 25Hl oak barrels and 500/600l oak tonneaux for 6/8 months and then bottle ageing at least for 6 months.
